Goshen High School will soon have a new, state-of-the art manufacturing program thanks to a recent $320,000 grant awarded by the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce.

In July, Goshen was awarded a Career-Technical Education Access Grant in partnership with the U.S. Grant Career Center in Bethel and the Advanced Manufacturing Industry Partnership (AMIP). This grant will establish a new manufacturing career-tech program hosted at Goshen, which is scheduled to launch in the 2027-28 school year. As a key partner, AMIP facilitates the program by connecting manufacturing employers, schools, and community groups.

The 2026–27 school year will be dedicated to the planning and development phase of the program. The grant funding will be utilized to train instructors, design the curriculum, and furnish a specialized manufacturing lab with necessary classroom tools and industrial machinery ahead of the official launch for the 2027–28 school year.

Goshen was one of only 10 school districts in the state of Ohio to receive funding.

Pat Dubbs, director of Goshen’s college and career readiness program, said he was pleased to receive the grant.

“This funding will open up a myriad of job training opportunities for our Goshen students,” he said. “As we grow the program, It is our hope that this will become a training hub for any young person in Clermont County who is interested in the manufacturing trades.”
