Enrollment (In-District)

Welcome to Goshen Local School District!

The first step in the registration process is to complete an online application for your student.

Goshen Local School District uses FinalForms for the registration process.

Set up a FinalForms parent account and complete the necessary forms. View the set-up guide.

Once your FinalForms are completed, you will receive an email to provide the following documentation: 

  • Proof of Residency (see attached document for instructions)

  • Copy of Parent's Driver's License

  • Student's Original Birth Certificate

  • Custody Papers (when applicable  -  it must be the whole document)

  • Individual Education Plan (IEP) papers (when applicable)

2024-2025 Preschool Registration Opens Jan. 8, 2024 

If you have a child between the ages of 3-5, who will not be attending Kindergarten in the fall, they are  eligible to enroll in Preschool at Marr/Cook Elementary School. All preschool students must be toilet- trained,  and reside in the Goshen Local School District to attend.

2024-2025 Kindergarten Registration Opens Feb. 15, 2024

To register for Kindergarten, a child must be 5 years old by Aug. 1. Once FinalForms are completed (see instructions above), you must contact Mrs. Snider.

Student Change of Address (at any time during the year)

 A parent/guardian will be required to contact the Central Registrar with any change of address during the school year. Proof of residency documentation must be presented before student records and/or transportation procedures can be adjusted to reflect the change.

 Accepted documents include:

  • Lease agreement

  • Deed or title

  • Settlement statement

  • Residency Affidavit notarized by the homeowner with required documents.

Enrollment (Out of District)

Applicants for open enrollment will be considered on a case-by-case basis. The superintendent reserves the right to deny any or all requests regardless of the date of the application.  

Applicants shall be considered according to the date of application on a first come first serve basis; however, students enrolled or living in the attendance area of a school building shall be given preference over applicants.

 Applicants may be rejected for one or more of the following reasons, as provided by Section 3313.97 of the Ohio Revised Code:

1.  Grade level/course capacity reaches reasonably accepted limitations.

2.  If a student enrolled or living in the attendance area of a school building would have to be displaced.

3.  If a student has been suspended or expelled during the school year in which the application has been made.

4.  During the course of the school year, after consultation with the principal and attendance officer, a student may be returned to his/her home school due to poor attendance/tardiness.

2024-2025 Open Enrollment Application

Application Deadline- April 30, 2024. Applications for open enrollment for grades K-12 will acted upon no later than June 9, 2023.
