Wendy Flynn, principal of Goshen Middle School, has been named the Zone 2 Middle School Principal of the Year by the Ohio Association of Secondary School Administrators.
OASSA divides Ohio into 10 zones and recognizes the best of the best middle school and high school principals and assistant principals in those zones. Nominations were submitted by students, staff members, administrators and colleagues who work with these talented school leaders.
"Wendy Flynn is everything you could want in an educator, a leader and as a person," said Superintendent Brian Bailey. "She encourages and collaborates with her staff, is supportive of her students, and sees the best in everyone. It is a delight to see that the rest of Ohio can now learn what we know: That Goshen is lucky to have Wendy Flynn!"
Flynn and the other zone winners are now finalists in the state level process and later this year, the OASSA Board of Directors will select the four overall winners from this pool.
