Congratulations Class of 2017!

On behalf of the Goshen Local Schools staff and Board of Education, we would like to say thank you for a wonderful school year and for your support.  We look forward to seeing our students next school year.

As you enjoy your summer months, we at Goshen Local Schools are afforded the opportunity to reflect on the tremendous accomplishments of another graduating class.

On May 26th, we celebrated the Goshen High School Commencement Ceremony.  181 seniors graduated.  Wonderful speeches were given by Class President Lauren Gentry, Valedictorian Sam Edwards, and Salutatorian Kendra Dietrich.  It was wonderful to see so many wonderful young adults cross the stage, ready to go out into the world and start an exciting new chapter in their lives  It was a blessing to see they joy on the faces of their friends and family, those that have supported them throughout the years and will continue to do so.

Of the 181 graduating seniors:

  • 110 students will attend a tech school, two year, or four year college
  • 5 will enter the military
  • 65  will enter the workforce or are undecided.
  • Colleges they will be attending:  Ohio State, The Citadel Military College of South Carolina, Liberty University,  Centre College, Transylvania University, Ohio Northern, Cincinnati, Ohio, Miami, Olivet Nazarene College,  Heidelberg University, Wilmington, Cincinnati Christian, NKU, Bowling Green, University of Kentucky, Thomas More, Xavier, Christ Hospital College of Nursing, Hiram College, Good Samaritan College of Nursing,  and others….

They have left our doors to soar in the world.  They have passed us and we may not see them again but we hope that each of them is better off for having spent time inside of our doors.

Congratulations the class of 2017.  We are proud of you!  We will be watching you to see you take the world by storm and do great things!
