OSBA Recognizes Goshen Staff and Community Partners

The annual event is where excellent individuals from school districts in the region are recognized and the accomplishments of school boards and community partners are recognized.  This year Goshen had several programs recognized. 

Outstanding Volunteer Program- Student Safety - A Community Approach

The Goshen Lions Club and Goshen Township Fire and EMS recently teamed up with the Goshen Local School District Board of Education to invest in student safety. The Goshen Lions Club and the Ohio Lions Foundation donated funds to invest in safety buckets for every classroom in the district. A local hardware store sold items at cost, while the Goshen High School Student Council, fire department, Lions Club and board of education gathered supplies to put together 225 buckets.

 

Student Achievement Fair Participant Recognition - Planning for Post Secondary Success

Under the direction of Andrea Conner Goshen Local Schools Planning for Post Secondary Success program will be presenting to the entire state of Ohio at the 2016 Capital Conference.  By Embracing Ohio's Career Advising Policy, students will share how they develop systematic plans for college and career readiness through programs such as Believe in Ohio, Structured College/Career Days and internships.
