Goshen Local School District

OSBA Recognizes Goshen Staff and Board of Education Members

The annual event is where excellent individuals from school districts in the region are recognized and the accomplishments of school boards and school board members are celebrated.
The entire awards night was kicked off by our Goshen High School Jazz Band and Show Choir.  The Jazz Band played during the social hour and the Show Choir preformed the National Anthem and a couple routines at the beginning of the ceremony.  Their talents were very evident and made everyone from Goshen in the audience very proud.

Goshen Local Schools received several separate recognition.

  • Sue Steele was presented her 8th Award of Achievement.  OSBA’s annual Award of Achievement program recognizes Ohio public school board members who work hard to become better board members. They earn credits toward the award by enrolling and participating in workshops and conferences, volunteering for service to their association and working on behalf of their own board.
  • The entire Goshen Board of Education was presented the Gold Award for being recognized as an Effective School Board for the 2015-2016 school year.
  • The board also received the Gold Plus Award for being recognized as an Effective School Board the past five consecutive years.  The OSBA Southwest Region Executive Committee developed this award to recognize school boards who are doing outstanding work in the region.
