Goshen Local Schools had several programs and individuals honored during the March 10, 2015 Ohio School Board Association Southwest Region Spring Conference. The annual event is where excellent individuals from school districts in the region are recognized and the accomplishments school boards and school board members are celebrated.
Goshen Local Schools received five separate recognitions.
- Board member John Gray was recognized as a 10 year veteran board member for his 10 consecutive years of board service to the Goshen Local School community. Thank you Mr Gray for your dedication to the improvement of public education and the betterment of our community.
- Sue Steele and John Benthien were both presented Awards of Achievement. OSBA’s annual Award of Achievement program recognizes Ohio public school board members who work hard to become better board members. They earn credits toward the award by enrolling and participating in workshops and conferences, volunteering for service to their association and working on behalf of their own board.
- The entire Goshen Board of Education was presented the Gold Award as an Effective School Board recipient for the 2014-2015 school year. The OSBA Southwest Region Executive Committee developed this award to recognize school boards who are doing outstanding work in the region.
- Karen Garret, Goshen Local School District Nurse was presented the Outstanding Classified Staff Member Award.
