Student Belonging Pick Up/Drop Off

Dear GLSD Parents and Students,

We hope you are all doing well. The end of the school year is near, which means, we now have to have a plan to close out the school year.  Many end of the year rituals will look a little different, but we will WarriorUp and tackle them as a school community.   We have worked to design a plan for families to safely pick up and drop off items that may have been left at one or more of our buildings as the physical school year ended abruptly.

There is no perfect system, but please know that our first priority is the safety of our students, staff, and community. Therefore, no students nor parents will be permitted in the building during this time.

Each principal will be communicating a building-specific plan on Friday, May 8. All plans will follow a drive-thru system that allows parents to drive up to each building and retrieve articles that may have been left in student lockers, desks, or cubbies. All articles will be put in a sealed bag and labeled with the child’s name. Families will also pick up Spring pictures, yearbooks, etc, at this time.

In addition to picking up items, we are asking families to plan to return the following items:

  • Completed remote learning school work
  • Library Books
  • Text Books
  • Loaned Chrome Books and chargers

Here is the district-wide schedule all buildings will be following in order to keep the number of individuals on campus to a minimum.
