LITERARY ELEMENTS CD PROJECT
FREE CHOICE PROJECT!Select a book of your choice.It must be approved by Mrs. Shagena or Mrs. Strauss and be at least 110 pages in length.After reading the book, you will design a CD cover (front and back) and five paper CD’s to fit inside the case.This means you will have at least seven paper CD’s in your case.I have provided the CD templates for your use as well as the CD case.YOU WILL ONLY RECEIVE ONE CD CASE PRIOR TO THE DUE DATE WHEN YOU HAVE ALL OF YOUR CD’s COMPLETED AND AT SCHOOL!
CD’s which must be in the Case:
You must have a cover for the CD case which contains the title, author, and an illustration of your choice from the book.
The first inside CD needs to be labeled “Character”. This CD must have the main character’s name, physical attributes (what they look like), their personality (how they act), their behavior, their thoughts and feelings, and an illustration of them.
The second inside CD needs to be labeled “Setting” (describe one of the settings or the main setting of the book).Use vivid vocabulary (make us feel like we are in the scene) and illustrate.
The third CD will have items on the front AND back!The front will be labeled “Conflict” and will contain one specific conflict on the front with an illustration.The back will be labeled “Resolution” and will explain how the conflict situation on the front was resolved and provide an illustration.
The fourth CD will also have items on the front AND back!The front should be labeled “Plot” and will have a description of the major events of the story on the front (should have at least five major events).On the back, you will need to illustrate one of the major events or you may decide to illustrate several of them by dividing the CD into sections.
The fifth CD will also have items on the front AND back!The front should be labeled “Theme” and will have the major theme which runs throughout the story.The theme should be illustrated on the reverse side.
The final CD will be the back cover.The back cover must have your name and may contain anything else you wish.
