We have now begun the part of the year where we begin to prepare for taking the OAA. We will be test prepping daily from now until test time. Skills that we will be working on will include: main idea/details, compare/contrast, summarizing, story elements, retelling versus summarizing, vocabulary, cause/effect, responding to questions using complete sentences, how to write 2- and 4- point answers, author's purpose, making predictions, inferences, drawing conclusions, looking at the four kinds of answers, underlining proof for our answers, fact and opinions, and looking at genre types.
