Back to Home PageI am from Monroe, Ohio where I attended Monroe High School. From there, I went to Ohio University in Athens, Ohio to get my bachelor's degree. In 1999, I received my master's degree from Wright State University. I am currently working on a reading endorsement through Xavier University.
I began my teaching career in Goshen in 1995. I did my student teaching in third grade with Mrs. Zackerman. I was later hired to teach fifth grade, which I taught for two years. Then, I moved to third grade. I have been a third grade cluster teacher for five years. This is my thirteenth year of teaching in the Goshen Local School District.
My husband, Bill is a 1988 graduate of Goshen High School. After college, we moved to his hometown to raise our family. We are blessed with two wonderful children. Mikaela is thirteen years old and in seventh grade. Tyler is eight years old and in second grade. We also share our home with a very hyper Jack Russell Terrier named Chance.
In my freetime, I enjoy spending time with my family, scrapbooking, cooking (sometimes), and reading. Much of our time is devoted to attending sporting events, such as baseball, basketball, and football. I enjoy scrapbooking, however, it is very difficult finding a chunk of time to do it. Reading is what I like to do to relax in the evenings.
