    Welcome to our web page!

    FRIDAY FOLDERS:
Friday Folders will be coming home this weekend. When the folder comes home, please spend a few minutes reviewing the graded pages with your child, sign where indicated, and have your child return to school no later than Wednesday of the following week.

PARENTS WHO ATTENDED O.A.A. Night, the bonus point sheet will be included in your child's third quarter interim report. Remember, your child has 50 bonus points to use at the end of third quarter in any subject(s).

IF YOU WERE UNABLE TO ATTEND OAA NIGHT ON WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 18, 2012-Please see your child's Friday Folder on January 20, 2012. The entire PowerPoint presentation, your child's sample test, answer document and copy of their test preparation Tackle Time spreadsheet is enclosed with a letter for you to read. It asks for your help as we continue to partner in your child's education. Please complete the bottom section of the letter (by Wednesday, January 25, 2012) with three ways you will help us help your child prepare to succeed on the O.A.A.'s and return. YOUR CHILD WILL EARN 10 BONUS POINTS TO USE AT THE END OF THE THIRD QUARTER!

EVENING READING-Evening reading is in full swing. The students are all familiar with the form. The only difference is that it will need your signature nightly and will be due on Monday morning. Students will be keeping in their homework folders daily until then. They are encouraged to check out books during library, before school from my library, or from the Goshen Public Library. They need to read nightly for 15 minutes and may either read out loud or silently at home nightly Monday through Friday. Please do not hesitate to contact me should you have any questions.

A PEEK AT THE WEEK NEWSLETTER-will be coming home weekly for you to keep posted! It will contain what will be happening in each class for the week, spelling/vocabulary lists and dates of tests, as well as upcoming dates of importance for the next couple of weeks.

CHARTING GRADES IN A DATA FOLDER:

Students will start to chart their grades in a line graph each week. The grades will be taped in their agendas to share with you after we have placed them on their data folder line graphs. The key to help you know which grade is which is listed below:

    pink-reading

    orange-written expression (writing and spelling)

    yellow-math

    blue-social studies

    green-science

Listed below are links to a variety of items of interest as well as daily homework. Students have been given an agenda to record all homework assignments each day. Please feel free to also use this as a method of communication with me as well as the telephone and email. I check my email each morning. Please feel free to contact me with any questions and/or concerns:
