My name is Katie Wagner and I am the art teacher here at Spaulding Elementary. This is my eighth year here at Spaulding and I have loved meeting so many wonderful families in the Goshen community! I have been working in Goshen ever since I received my undergraduate degree in art education at Miami University in 2004. I am currently working on my masters degree in Teacher Leadership through Walden University. My husband, Rob, and I live just outside of town with our two awesome dogs, Maggie and Pacey. In addition to teaching all of the art at Spaulding, I am in charge of the bullying prevention program here at school. I have also been known to organize our end of the year Celebration Day so if you have any questions regarding these departments, feel free to ask.
I have many new ideas for the year to come and can't wait to get started. I teach 5th grade twice a week, have some of forth grade twice a week and have all other classes once a week. Students are asked to bring a pencil, eraser, and imagination to each and every class. I ask that students have an "art shirt" for messy projects, and I will let them know in advance when to bring that. (Or they may leave them in their homeroom) All supplies used in our classroom are provided by the school, but I would GREATLY appreciate any donations of tissues and bagged candy.
