I am so excited to share with you the latest information on gifted education. We here at Spaulding have the opportunity to have at least one certified gifted educator per grade level. All students who qualify gifted in at least one area will be placed in these classes. To qualify you must score at least in the ninety fifth percentile on the Terra Nova test or score at least a 128 on the CSI portion of the test. If you have questions about this please feel free to give me a call.

Periodically, our students take an academic assessment called Pro-Ohio. We will be placing children in tutoring throughout the year (both during and after school), based on those scores. Pro-Ohio is aligned with the state curriculum and helps us establish if a child will pass the OAA.

In-school interventions occur during your child's specials. If your child needs extra support for math, them we would pull them from their duplicate special of the week. If your child needs extra help in reading and math then we would pull your child from two specials for the week.

After school tutoring will begin mid October and will be based on test scores. If a child's scores are not where they need to be then we will offer after school tutoring free of charge for your child.
