    Week 3 – Nutrition (Calories, Fat, Digestion Process)

    Week 4 – Cont. Nutrition (6 Essential Nutrients, Food Pyramid)

    Week 5 – Cont. Nutrition (Substances found in foods, Test/Project)

    Week 6 – Fitness (Heart rate, Blood Pressure, Benefits of an active lifestyle)

    Week 7 – First Aid/Safety (Preventing Accidents, Basics of First Aid)

    Week 8 – Puberty/Personal Health (Endocrine System, Changes during adolescents, Personal Health – teeth, skin, hair)

    Week 9 – Tobacco (Harmful effects of tobacco use, Tobacco Brochure)

    **extra units = Body Systems – computer lab group project, anorexia/bulimia, mental health – illnesses and handling stress.
