    Welcome to my webpage!

This is my fifth year of teaching at Goshen Middle School. Currently, I am teaching 8th grade Language Arts. In the past, I have taught 7th grade Language Arts and Literacy Across the Curriculum. Before coming here, I taught kindergarten at a montessori-based preschool for four years. Also, I am coaching the 7th/8th grade Power of the Pen team for the fourth year.

To tell you a little bit about me...I grew up in the Milford/Loveland area and graduated from Milford High School. I have an Associate's degree in Elementary Education from the University of Cincinnati-Clermont College, a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Northern Kentucky University, and a Master's degree in elementary Reading and Literacy from Walden University.

In my spare time, I enjoy hanging out with family, friends, Reese (my dog) and Sullivan (my cat). I grew up playing sports and enjoy playing softball in recreational leagues during the spring and summer seasons.

    The Million Pages Project

This is the fourth year for the Million Pages Project. The students are encouraged to read inside and outside the classroom. This project is broken into individual and class goals. Each student's goal is to read 7,407 pages by May 15, 2012. This is as easy as 17 pages per day, 119 per week. If students consistently meet this goal, we as a whole will reach the total goal of reading one million pages.
    Million Pages Rewards
Stay tuned for information concerning reward opportunities.
    Reading Logs
Every Monday, students are assigned a Reading Log. This log is due the following Monday. Attached is an additional log in the event you or your child should need a new one.
