Types of assignments:
Class work and Homework:
These assignments maybe writing promotes, Biographies, section reviews, worksheets, ect.. I generally expect assignments to be turned in the day after they were assigned. So if the work sheet was given out on Monday it will typically be due on Tuesday. Occasionally somethings will be due the day they were assigned but I will make those deadlines very clear. Class work and Homework will be worth 1/3 of the students grade.
Test:
At the end of each unit I will give a test to check the students mastery of that subject. Reviews will be given out and gone over the day before the test and test dates will be clearly posted. Test will be worth 1/3 of the students grade.
Projects:
There will be about 1 project per unit and it will be worth roughly the same as the test grade for that unit. Students will be given very clear goals and expectations for project along with a grading rubric. I will always give students ample time to complete projects but I will also be very inflexible with project deadlines. Projects will be worth 1/3 of the students grade.
