The sixteenth annual Goshen Local School District Senior Citizen’s dinner was held on Tuesday October 17, 2017. The dinner was held in the Goshen High School gym with over one hundred and eighty guests. The guests had the opportunity to have a keepsake photograph taken by students in the digital photography class and enjoy entertainment by both the high school marching band and choir.
The menu consisted of either baked or fried chicken, green beans, mashed potatoes and gravy. Members of the student council and members of the Goshen Local School district administrative team served guests. The Goshen Garden Club contributed centerpieces for the event. The art students in the Marr/Cook Primary building created keepsake place mats.
The theme of this years dinner was A Senior Prom, the evening culminated with the crowning of the King and Queen of the Prom. Their names were pulled out of hats by the superintendent and Mrs. Sue Steele, Board of Education member. The King was Harold Eichorn and the queen was Betty Smith.
If you live in Goshen and are over the age of 55 you are invited to join us next year for another evening to remember at the Goshen Local School district’s senior citizens dinner.
